Exciting Changes!
After 13 years of providing high-quality dance classes as Leaside Dance School, we thought it was time for a refresh! New name, a new website, and a new venture! Located at Lawrence Park Community Church, our venue is a lovely, modern space, with over 4000 sqft of studio space, a comfortable waiting area as well as free parking.
AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB
Our new after-school program is a safe and welcoming place for kids to learn and play! Children will engage in creative activities, including arts & crafts, dance, outdoor fun, free play, yoga, games, and more. Lots of opportunities to have fun with friends! Nutritious, nut-free snacks are provided.
OUR APPROACH TO DANCE
At Kennedy School of Dance, we emphasize personal development, musicality, and exercise, in a fun and supportive environment. Our students are nurtured in a non-competitive atmosphere where the primary focus is learning the art of dance. Performance skills are developed over the year, culminating in our year-end recital. Personal attention is ensured with our smaller class sizes and qualified teachers and assistants.

Meet our Dance Teachers
BALLET
Anushi Mogrelia
Anushi attained a Level 4 Teaching Diploma from the International Dance Teachers' Association (awarded with distinction) and has studied and taught dance in Dubai, Amsterdam and London (UK). Anushi graduated with Honours from Queen Mary University of London with a Bachelors degree in Marketing.
BALLET, JAZZ/HIP HOP
Brianna Halweg
Brianna is currently attending The National Ballet School of Canadas' Teacher Training program and is a registered teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Brianna is bilingual in French and English.
CONTEMPORARY, JAZZ
Mélina Patry
Mélina graduated with a BFA in Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University. She has her High Five Certification and was a Supervisor at the Harbourfront Centre Performing Arts Camps.
BALLET, CONTEMPORARY, JAZZ
Melissa Bartrem
Melissa graduated with a B.A. (hons.) in Theatre Arts from The University of Toronto and obtained an M.A. in Dance Education through the University of Surrey, England. Melissa is currently a doctoral candidate in Dance Education at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. She is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and British Association of Teachers of Dancing.
